GOP Rep. Black wins primary fight
Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) is projected to win her GOP primary.
{mosads}Black defeated former state Rep. Joe Carr — who nearly unseated Sen. Lamar Alexander in the 2014 primary — to win the primary for a safe GOP district that she has represented since 2010.
Black significantly outpaced Carr and overcame a series of negative ads from 501(c)(4) group Power of Liberty, which sought to cast her as a Washington insider.
