{mosads}Since the hurricane hit the coast over the weekend, Obama has visited the Federal Emergency Management Agency twice, as well as the Red Cross. On Wednesday Obama surveyed some of the worst damage from the hurricane in New Jersey with the state’s governor, Chris Christie (R).
The poll found a smaller margin of approval to disapproval in Mitt Romney’s response to the hurricane. Forty-four percent said they approved of Romney’s response, while 35 percent said they did not approve of Romney’s response. Twenty-one percent said they did not have an opinion on Romney’s response to the hurricane. Romney and his vice presidential nominee, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), appeared at a number of storm relief events in Ohio and Wisconsin in response to the storm.
On the presidential race, the poll’s findings are unchanged from recent Washington Post/ABC News daily tracking poll results. The poll found Romney and Obama tied with 49 percent each among likely voters.
The poll was conducted Oct. 27 to Oct. 30 among 1,288 voters. It had a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
