Gov. Christie sends holiday cards to Iowa

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) recently sent holiday cards to at least five Republican officials in Iowa.

The holiday card, which was first reported by BuzzFeed, showed Christie at the podium with his family after winning reelection last November.

“Wishing you peace and happiness this holiday season and throughout the coming year,” the card says.

{mosads}State GOP Reps. Peter Cownie, Bobby Kaufmann and Jake Highfill were among at least five Iowa politicians who received the card from Christie, according to BuzzFeed.

The report added that the New Jersey Republican State Committee paid for the cards, but they weren’t sent only to Iowans. “They were sent to a “wide variety of Republicans,” a spokesman told Buzzfeed.

Christie is considered a potential contender for the 2016 presidential election. The fact that he’s planting seeds in Iowa — the state that kicks off primary season — makes his decision to enter the race even more likely.
