McCain says he likes Christie, Jindal for 2016

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) says he likes Govs. Chris Christie (N.J.) and Bobby Jindal (La.) as potential candidates for the Republican presidential race in 2016.

In an appearance Monday night on “The Tonight Show,” host Jay Leno asked McCain whom he would support.

{mosads}“I think we’ve got a lot of governors,” he said. “I like Chris Christie. I like Bobby Jindal. I like a number of those people who have succeeded in states that have both Republican and Democrat.”

President Obama defeated McCain, now 77, in 2008 by a margin of 365-173 electoral votes.

“In the Republican Party, we’re going to have a group of people who are frankly isolationist and there’s the international wing. I think it’s going to be a very interesting debate,” McCain added.
