Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) is heading back to Iowa.
{mosads}Klobuchar will keynote the Iowa Democratic Party’s annual Jefferson-Jackson fundraising dinner on Oct. 25.
The senator is rumored to be interested in a presidential run should Hillary Clinton surprise people and pass on a run this year.
“Senator Klobuchar has been a tireless advocate for middle class families and rural communities and has worked to promote economic opportunity for all Americans,” Iowa Democratic Party Chairman Scott Brennan said in a statement. “We invited Senator Klobuchar because she’s a great speaker and a strong advocate for our candidates, and we’re pleased she’s joining us to support our Iowa Democrats at this year’s Jefferson Jackson Dinner.”
Klobuchar isn’t the only Democrat with potential presidential ambitions who’s spent a good amount of time in the state. Clinton returned for the first time in seven years on Sunday and hinted strongly at another run, and Vice President Biden will be there later this week. Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) has also spent plenty of time in the state.
