Jeb Bush to travel to Europe
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), a likely presidential candidate, will make a trip to Europe in June, Reuters reported on Monday.
Bush will visit Germany, Poland and Estonia as he looks to build up his global economic and national security credentials.
{mosads}Bush will meet with government officials and business leaders while in Estonia and Poland. He will address a conference in Germany held by the Christian Democratic Union, the nation’s ruling political party.
“He will also be listening to their perspectives on growing security challenges in the region,” Bush spokeswoman Kristy Campbell told Reuters.
Bush has not said when he will announce his decision about entering the 2016 race for the White House, but it is likely the Republican field will have widened by June.
Foreign policy is likely to play a larger role in the 2016 presidential campaign than in 2012’s, in large because of the rise of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria and growing concerns about Russian aggression in Ukraine.
