Trump’s leaked phone number advertises his campaign
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is capitalizing on media outlet Gawker publicly revealing his phone number to advertise for his campaign.
People who call the New York number published by the web site Gawker are met with a recording from Trump advertising his Twitter account and campaign website.
“Hi, this is Donald Trump, and I’m running for the presidency of the United States of America,” Trump says in the nearly 30-second voicemail message.
“With your help and support, together, we can make America truly great again,” he adds.
The celebrity real estate developer has also taken to Twitter to “thank” Gawker:
Thank you @gawker! Call me on my cellphone 917.756.8000 and listen to my campaign message.

Gawker published what it said was Trump’s cell phone number Monday “[in] the spirit of open and fair political debate” after Trump gave out the number for Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (S.C.), a fellow Republican presidential candidate, during a speech last month.
Trump’s campaign initially told The Hill on Monday that the number Gawker published was “very old” and not one Trump uses, downplaying the significance of it being released.
