Beau Biden widow supports Joe Biden bid

Hallie Biden, the widow of Vice President Biden’s son Beau, would fully support the vice president should he decide to launch a 2016 White House bid, according to a new report.

Ron Olivere, her father and a longtime Biden family friend, told The News Journal in Delaware that the vice president recently spoke with Hallie Biden about a possible presidential campaign.

{mosads}”He did discuss this with family. He discussed it with my daughter and her response was, ‘Pop, we’re behind you all the way. We’re behind you 100 percent,’ ” Olivere told the Journal.

Joe Biden has delayed deciding on a White House bid for months as he and his family grieve the loss of Beau Biden, 46, who died from brain cancer in late May.

Speculation surrounding Joe Biden’s decision about entering the Democratic presidential race and taking on Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has reached a fever pitch this week.

Several reports Monday indicated a decision could come within 48 hours. Biden and President Obama are slated to have lunch together on Tuesday afternoon.
