Carson hits back at media outlets

Ben Carson early Sunday took to Facebook to attack two recent stories critical of the GOP presidential candidate.

{mosads}Carson targeted a Wall Street Journal story published Saturday, “Ben Carson’s Past Faces Deeper Questions,” that challenges his account in a 1990 autobiography of being the victim of a hoax at Yale.

“The reporter claimed that no evidence existed to back up my story,” Carson wrote. “Even went so far as to say the class didn’t exist.”

“Well here is the student newspaper account of the incident that occurred on January 14, 1970.”

“Will an apology be coming,” he added. “I doubt it.”

Carson later posted a syllabus for a class that the Journal reporter “claim[ed] never existed.”

“Still waiting on the apology,” he added.

Carson also disputed a Friday story in Politico that challenged his account of being offered a full scholarship to West Point.

“Here is a copy of the material West Point used to recruit African American high school kids,” Carson wrote.

“Wouldn’t you know it. ‘Full Government Scholarship” printed on the front page.”

“I won’t hold me breathe for an apology,” he added. “Shame on them.”

Carson said on Saturday that his campaign pulled in $3.5 million in fundraising dollars last week thanks to “biased media” coverage.

“We the People have made 10,000 donations each day this week, raising $3.5M this week alone. Thank you biased media,” Carson tweeted.
