Fiorina calls out media over ‘strangle’ coverage

Carly Fiorina is calling out the media in response to coverage of Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton laughing at a man who suggested he wanted to “strangle” the GOP candidate when he saw her on TV.

{mosads}“I don’t even take umbrage with Mrs. Clinton. I do take umbrage with the clear double standard that exists in the media,” Fiorina said Wednesday night on Fox News.

“I mean, if this had happened with a conservative candidate, the liberal media would be all over us, to correct him, to apologize and all the rest of it,” Fiorina said on “The O’Reilly Factor.”

A man identified as a former Hewlett-Packard employee on Tuesday mentioned layoffs at the company before remarking, “Every time I see her on TV, I want to reach through and strangle her.”

“I wouldn’t mess with you,” Clinton responded, laughing along with the audience.

Fiorina, a former Hewlett-Packard CEO, responded to the man’s reference to layoffs, saying, “I understand that he might be frustrated by that. It was a very tough time.”
