Clinton parodies GOP grinches in holiday rhyme

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign released a holiday-themed Web video on Monday, hitting GOP presidential hopefuls for “stealing progress” on several hot-button issues.

The video — titled “How the Republicans Steal Progress,” in a play on “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” — knocks Republican candidates for their positions on ObamaCare, immigration and Planned Parenthood.

{mosads}“American families like progress a lot. But the grinches in GOPville? It seems they do not,” the video’s narrator says.

The spot criticizes Republicans’ plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act. “Together they shout with great, grinchy zeal that on healthcare their plan is repeal, repeal, repeal, repeal,” the video says.

GOP candidate Donald Trump makes an appearance in the video, with a clip of his call to “terminate President Obama’s illegal executive order” that allows children of undocumented immigrants to remain in the country.

The video goes on to blast GOP candidates on a litany of other issues including environmental reform, their plan on big banks, and Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court case that recognized abortion rights.

“Now if that weren’t enough to leave you all stunned, take their stance on Planned Parenthood: defund, defund, defund,” the video says, with clips of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie calling for defunding the organization.

“We’ll stop them from reaching their extreme grinchy goals, when we head out together to vote at the polls,” the video continues. “We’ll send them back to GOPville where they all belong. We’ll protect our progress, and keep American families strong.”
