Trump: ‘Schlonged’ is not a vulgar term

One day after saying Hillary Clinton got “schlonged” in the 2008 presidential election, Donald Trump took to Twitter to defend the term as not vulgar.

Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner, wrote Tuesday night that the word means “beaten badly.”

He cited a National Public Radio journalist using the term in 2011, to describe Walter Mondale’s 1984 presidential campaign getting soundly defeated.

{mosads}Clinton’s circles leapt to attack Trump for the comment Tuesday, condemning the “degrading language.”

Clinton insiders were calling the incident a new low for Trump.

“We are watching the Donald melt down,” predicted Ellen Tauscher, the former congresswoman who served as undersecretary for Arms Control and International Security Affairs under Clinton.
