Cain: It’s ‘bull feathers’ Trump’s bid helps Hillary

Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain is rejecting the notion that GOP front-runner Donald Trump’s White House bid is helping to elect Hillary Clinton.

“That’s bull feathers,” he wrote in a blog published on his Cain TV website.

{mosads}“Think about that for a moment,” Cain continued. “He’s spending his own money to run. It’s a grueling endeavor. He does not need the notoriety. He was already a household name before he ran for president, and now he’s even more so.”

Claims that Trump’s unorthodox campaign may drive voters toward the Democratic front-runner are media spin, Cain argued.

“The media and some of his opponents are spoon-feeding those perceptions of Donald Trump to the public to create a negative perception of him so people would vote for someone else,” said Cain, who competed in the 2012 Republican presidential primary.

“The Democrats and the liberal media are counting on voters to be gullible enough to swallow their selective crap about Donald Trump and other Republican presidential candidates so another non-leader, non-fighter and non-problem solver – Hillary Clinton – can get elected,” he added.

“Don’t be fooled! This nation can’t afford more of the status quo in the White House. Electing people where we know, supposedly, all of their political stances has not worked too well the last 50 years.”

Cain also said that Republicans on the fence about Trump’s campaign should remember how establishment candidates have represented them in the past.

“It’s not rocket science,” he said of Trump’s popularity. “People are tired of stuff not getting fixed in our federal government with the establishment in charge.

“Trump can win the Republican nomination and the presidency because he is attracting lots of non-traditional and non-establishment voters. Granted, Trump is not the darling of the Republican establishment. But just as you play the game in sports to see who wins, the voters will decide.”
