Hillary Clinton’s campaign is holding an event next week featuring singer Michael Bolton in its effort to gin up support and raise cash for the Democratic presidential candidate.
{mosads}Clinton’s campaign website shows a fundraiser for the evening of Jan. 12 in Detroit featuring singer Michael Bolton, who is slated to perform for guests who will pay at least $300 to attend.
Those who dish out $1,000 will get “preferred viewing” for the event featuring the Grammy Award-winning musician.
The Detroit News, which first reported the fundraiser, noted that Clinton was last in Michigan for a $2,700-per-ticket fundraiser in July while Bill Clinton headlined a fundraiser in October.
The fundraiser is scheduled to run for two hours, wrapping up shortly before President Obama’s last State of the Union address scheduled for the same night.
