‘Pawn Stars’ boss: Rubio the ‘real deal’
Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio in a new ad is touting the support of “Pawn Stars” television personality Rick Harrison.
{mosads}The 30-second spot, which will begin airing in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina on Thursday, features Harrison in his famous Las Vegas pawn shop sizing up the 2016 race.
“Over the past few years, people have tried to sell us some real doozies,” the ad begins, as the camera cuts to a pair of bobble heads in the likeness of President Obama and Democratic primary front-runner Hillary Clinton.
He said Rubio’s value, on the other hand, speaks for itself.
“So when this guy walked into my shop, I knew he was the real deal,” he said.
“Trust me, I know a good investment when I see one.”
Harrison has campaigned for Rubio in Iowa, Nevada, Florida, Ohio and Michigan, according to an accompanying press release sent out by the Rubio campaign.
The History Channel star, who haggles for unique finds and rare heirlooms on his hit television show, previously said he has faced backlash in Hollywood for supporting Rubio.
