Infamous drug CEO: My tweet supporting Jeb was ‘a joke’
Less than 24 hours after tweeting that he was an “avid supporter” of Jeb Bush, embattled drug executive Martin Shkreli said he was just joking.
{mosads}“My date made the tweet about Jeb Bush as a joke,” Shkreli wrote Saturday night. “I don’t follow politics except for having a profound hatred for all politicians.”

Shkreli, the former founder and CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, faced criticism last year for hiking the price of a drug used to fight parasites from $13.50 to $750 per pill.
After a hearing on Capitol Hill last Thursday when he refused to answer questions about drug prices, Shkreli tweeted: “Hard to accept that these imbeciles represent the people in our government.”
