Schwarzenegger endorses Kasich

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger endorsed Ohio Gov. John Kasich on Sunday via Snapchat and at a rally.

“I want John Kasich to be the next nominee of the Republicans and also to be the next president of the United States,” he said in a video he posted Sunday to his story on Snapchat.

“Thank you, Arnold. Love you, man,” Kasich said.

Schwarzenegger campaigned with Kasich on Sunday at an event in the Ohio governor’s home state. During his endorsement, Schwarzenegger touted Kasich’s record of balancing the budget and creating jobs in Ohio.

He called Kasich an “action hero.”

“John has done such an extraordinary job,” he said.

In Washington, he said they need that kind of leadership because there is a lot of work that needs to be done.

Schwarzenegger said he came to the U.S. with nothing, but he was “full of dreams.”

“And because this is the land of opportunity … I could make all of my dreams a reality, through hard work and dedication,” he said.

He emphasized that America is the land of opportunity.

“And we need John Kasich to now take charge, to be at the White House, and this is why I endorse John Kasich, our great governor, to be our Republican nominee and to be the next president of the United States of America, the greatest country in the world,” he said.
