New York City officials have removed a tombstone bearing Donald Trump’s name from Central Park.
The mysterious artifact was discovered in the park’s Sheeps Meadow area on Sunday and was subsequently removed overnight, according to multiple reports.
{mosads}The tombstone featured the GOP presidential front-runner’s name inscribed in stone beneath a cross. The faux-memorial also listed Trump’s birth year of 1946, but it did not specify a year of death for the outspoken billionaire.
“Make America Hate Again,” the monument’s epitaph read, a twist on Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan.
The Secret Service on Monday refused to comment on whether the agency considers the ominous marker a death threat.
“We’re not going to comment on protective procedures or protective knowledge like that,” said Martin Mulholland, special agent in charge of the Secret Service’s office of public affairs, to ABC News.
A spokesperson for Central Park confirmed that the tombstone is no longer on its grounds.
Trump, who’s been atop multiple polls since launching his White House bid last summer, received Secret Service protection last November. The real estate tycoon’s code name is reportedly “mogul.”
The Secret Service arrested a Georgia teenager last Friday for allegedly threatening Trump on social media. The 15-year-old boy’s name has not been released, and police have not spoken on the nature of his remarks.
The agency also began investigating Anonymous earlier this month over whether some of its members had targeted Trump. Members of the activist hacking collective reportedly posted some of Trump’s personal information online, including his cell phone and Social Security numbers.
