Biden, Warren met several times to discuss possible 2016 bid

Vice President Biden met with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) “several times” over the course of last year to discuss running on a presidential ticket together, according to a CNN report.

{mosads}A source close to Biden told CNN the vice president and Warren “walked around” the idea of a joint ticket.

Biden reportedly thought Warren could help him build his credibility on the left.

Biden mentioned the vice presidency during a meeting with Warren last September at his residence on the grounds of the Naval Observatory, according to CNN.

He ultimately ruled out entering the Democratic presidential primary the following month, concluding he lacked the necessary time for a strong campaign.

Warren, who hasn’t endorsed in the primary, hasn’t ruled out joining a ticket with Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.

“This is something that, right now, we’ve got to get all of our nominations settled on the Democratic side,” Warren said in an interview with Mic earlier this week. “For me, I’m going to keep doing my job every single day, and I’m not thinking about another job.”
