{mosads}”@realDonaldTrump coddling of racist supporters puts #BlackLives and #Latinos as risk, endangers us all,” Clay tweeted.
Trump, in an extensive New York Times Magazine interview published Wednesday, called Ferguson and Oakland, Calif., “among the most dangerous in the world.”
“You go to places like Oakland. Or Ferguson. The Crime numbers are worse. Seriously,” Trump said.
Ferguson was the site of civil unrest in 2014 after a local police officer fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown. Oakland was the site of a similar incident in 2009, when Oscar Grant was fatally shot by a transit police officer. The incident was dramatized in the film “Fruitvale Station.”
