Donald Trump on Friday said strong gun control laws in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., made those cities easy targets for shooters.

“These guys came in, ‘boom, boom, you over there, boom,’ and they just stood there and shot everyone,” the presumptive GOP presidential nominee told gun rights supporters at the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) annual conference.

“If they knew there were guns in the room, it might not have happened. But if it did, you would’ve had bullets in the room going in the opposite direction, and believe me, the carnage would not have been the same by any stretch of the imagination.”

The real estate mogul spoke moments after being endorsed by the NRA.
