Vice President Biden probably won’t run for public office again, though he will stay active on the issues he cares about, he said Sunday.
{mosads}”I don’t plan on [running],” Biden said on ABC’s “This Week.”
“But I’ve learned a long time ago — you don’t say anything for absolutely certain.”
The vice president said he doesn’t plan on “saying goodbye” and will continue to be engaged with the “things that I care about.”
Biden listed foreign policy, violence against women, the “iniquity in the tax structure” and cancer research as top concerns.
“Someone said, ‘Well you ought to just retire.’ And I say, ‘Well, you know, I always judge people who spend a lot of time in public office, say they care about things, and if the day after they leave they no longer talk about ’em, then I don’t think they cared much about ’em.’ “
