Donald Trump has “amicably” settled a lawsuit with a former campaign aide he fired last summer, according to CNN.
{mosads}Trump filed a lawsuit against Sam Nunberg in July, accusing him of breaching a confidentiality agreement by leaking information to a reporter. The GOP presidential nominee was seeking $10 million in damages.
The Associated Press had reported that Nunberg accused Trump of trying to suppress him “in a misguided attempt to cover up media coverage of an apparent affair” between two other campaign staffers.
Nunberg denied that he was the source for a New York Post story on two campaign staffers — spokeswoman Hope Hicks and ousted campaign manager Corey Lewandowski — engaging in a public shouting match.
The campaign fired Nunberg a year ago after reports emerged of racist social media posts he had written years earlier.
