Eric Trump: I was ‘a little scared’ by Clinton coughing

Donald Trump’s son says Hillary Clinton’s recent coughing issues have made him nervous.

“I’m a civilian in this whole thing. I’m not a politician, I’m not really the person who opines on people’s health,” Eric Trump said on WPHT Radio in Philadelphia on Wednesday, as first reported by BuzzFeed.

{mosads}“Again, I’m not qualified to talk about it. But I saw the video too and I was a little scared by it. It was pretty interesting to say the least.”

Trump also said the media would pounce on Donald Trump if the GOP presidential nominee began showing symptoms of illness.

“If the same thing happened to my father, the whole world would have jumped on top of him. They absolutely would have jumped on top of him.”

Eric Trump told host Dom Giordano his father remains in pristine physical condition.

“Look at him today,” he said. “The man just works harder than anybody I’ve met in my life. If he wants to achieve a goal, if he wants to take care of something, he’s just non-stop. He works 24 hours a day. That’s why he’s become the success that he is.”

Clinton, the Democratic nominee, briefly struggled with a cough at a campaign rally in Cleveland on Monday, before turning the incident into a joke aimed at Donald Trump.

“Every time I think about Trump I get allergic,” she quipped.

Trump on Tuesday criticized the media for “never” covering the incident.

Trump’s surrogates, meanwhile, have floated multiple conspiracy theories about Clinton’s health repeatedly.

Spokeswoman Katrina Pierson said last month Clinton suffers from a rare disorder caused by brain damage that led to eroding language comprehension and speaking.
