Trump to outline child care plan alongside Ivanka

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is set to flesh out his child care policies during a Tuesday night speech in Pennsylvania, where he’ll be joined by his daughter Ivanka Trump.

The event will be the younger Trump’s first public campaign appearance since a speech at the Republican National Convention in July.

{mosads}Ivanka Trump — one of her father’s most effective surrogates throughout the campaign — played a central role in developing the new policies along with her father, the campaign said Tuesday.

The event is closed to the public, so it won’t have the raucous feel of a typical Donald Trump rally. The more reserved ambiance comes as the campaign looks to display a more serious tone.

Ivanka Trump briefly joined a call with reporters Tuesday morning, saying she’s “very passionate” about the campaign’s child care policies and is “excited to see it come to fruition.”
