Pence recalls classic Reagan debate line: ‘There they go again’

Mike Pence channeled Ronald Reagan during Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate, using one of his famous lines to hit back at Tim Kaine.

Kaine, the Democratic VP contender, was accusing Pence of being the “chief cheerleader” for privatizing Social Security.

{mosads}“We’re gonna stand up against efforts to privatize Social Security and we’ll look for ways to keep it solvent going forward, focusing primarily on the payroll tax cap,” he said.

“They’re they go again,” Pence, his GOP counterpart, responded, using a signature line Reagan employed repeatedly during a 1980 presidential debate against Jimmy Carter.

“All Donald Trump and I have said is we’re gonna meet our obligations to our seniors. That’s it,” Pence continued.
