Pence, Trump dominate VP debate Twitter conversation

The GOP ticket dominated the social media conversation during Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate.

{mosads}Donald Trump’s running mate, Mike Pence, was the subject of 60 percent of the Twitter conversation about the VP nominees, according to data released by the social media platform. He gained 22,000 Twitter followers during the debate.

Hillary Clinton’s running mate, Tim Kaine, was the subject of 40 percent of the conversation – and gained 15,000 Twitter followers.

Trump, who is live-tweeting the debate from the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, is responsible for 63 percent of the Twitter debate conversation about the presidential nominees, with Clinton taking the other 37 percent.
