Clinton: Trump interrupting to distract from ‘exploding’ campaign

Hillary Clinton on Sunday ripped Donald Trump for interrupting her at the second presidential debate of 2016, calling it a distraction from his “exploding” campaign.

The Democratic presidential nominee was responding to a question about her private email server while serving as secretary of State and her deletion of 33,000 personal emails when Trump, the Republican nominee, interrupted.

{mosads}Moderator Anderson Cooper of CNN asked Trump not to interject while Clinton was answering the question, adding that they needed to get to audience questions in the town hall format.

Clinton said she would continue to try not to interrupt Trump while he was talking. “I didn’t in the first debate, and I’m going to try not to in this debate because I’d like to get to the questions people have brought here tonight.”

As Trump interjected again, Clinton replied, “OK, Donald. I know you’re into big diversion tonight, anything to avoid talking about your campaign and the way it’s exploding and the way Republicans are leaving you.”

Cooper again asked Trump to let Clinton talk, as the former secretary of State said she wanted to get to audience questions.

The debate comes a few days after leaked audio from 2005 that shows Trump making lewd comments about women and groping them.

In the days following, Republicans have been rescinding their support of the GOP nominee, and some have even called for him to withdraw from the race.
