Group of GOP donors gave pro-Trump PACs $24 million: report

Five Republican megadonors have funneled a combined $24 million to groups supporting GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump in the past three months, according to a review of campaign finance filings by The Wall Street Journal.

{mosads}Sheldon Adelson and his wife, Miriam, gave the Future45 super PAC $10 million, while TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts donated $1 million to the group. 

Another super PAC, Rebuilding America Now, received $5 million from Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, $6 million from WWE executive Linda McMahon and $2 million from Ronald Cameron, CEO of the Mountaire Corporation.

According to Federal Election Commission reports filed on Saturday, the two groups raised a total of $30.2 million in the third quarter and finished with $13 million in cash on hand between the two of them.

Meanwhile, a super PAC backing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Priorities USA, has raised a total of $133 million through August and had $41.4 million in cash on hand going into September.
