Julian Assange’s internet connection has been severed by a “state party,” WikiLeaks said Monday, adding that “appropriate contingency plans” have been activated.

{mosads}Assange, the founder of the organization, has been staying at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London for more than four years to avoid being extradited over sex crimes allegations.

WikiLeaks in recent weeks has released emails that have rattled Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

The Obama administration has blamed Russian intelligence for the email hacks.
