Kaine to host Ariz. campaign rally in Spanish

Sen. Tim Kaine will deliver campaign remarks entirely in Spanish at a rally in Phoenix, Ariz., on Thursday.

{mosads}The Clinton campaign said the Spanish-language rally will be a first for an organized presidential campaign.

Traditionally red Arizona is competitive in the 2016 presidential race. The Clinton campaign is focusing resources there, working to appeal to the state’s growing Latino population.

The RealClearPolitics average of polls shows Clinton ahead of Trump by less than a point in Arizona, with just eighth days to go before Election Day.

Kaine will also stop in Tucson for a get-out-the-vote rally, the campaign announced.
