Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) said Tuesday that Americans who have liked the past eight years of President Obama’s tenure should vote for Hillary Clinton on Nov. 8.

“If you like the past 8 years, vote @HillaryClinton,” Walker tweeted, along with a picture of Obama and Clinton hugging.

Twitter users began to point out Obama’s current approval rating — a CNN/ORC poll recently put it 55 percent — to counter Walker’s message, which appeared to be a dig at the president and the Democratic presidential nominee.

{mosads}Republicans have frequently argued that Clinton will continue Obama’s policies should she win the presidency.

Walker, who was one of the first candidates to drop out of the Republican primaries in 2015, has a 43 percent approval rating in Wisconsin, according to a Morning Consult ranking of American governors.

Clinton campaign spokesman Jesse Ferguson thanked Walker for his post.

“I’ve never said this before but #ThanksScott,” said Ferguson.
