Clinton to campaign in Michigan

Hillary Clinton will rally in Michigan on Friday, campaigning in a traditionally blue state just days before Election Day.

The Democratic presidential nominee will hold a get-out-the-vote rally in Detroit, where she will talk about the economy, according to her campaign.

{mosads}Polls have shown Clinton with a comfortable lead over GOP rival Donald Trump in Michigan. She leads there by 7 points, 47 to 40 percent, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average.

Trump campaigned in the state on Monday, making a last-minute push to put the state in play with rallies in Grand Rapids and Warren.

Michigan has gone for the Democratic nominee in every election since 1992, but Trump’s campaign cited the state last week as one it considers it can flip.

Trump senior communications adviser Jason Miller argued on Friday that Trump is competitive in typically blue states.

“Both in New Mexico and in Michigan we’re showing dead heats in those states,” Miller said.
