Trump ad: Clinton can’t lead while ‘crippled’ by investigation

Donald Trump’s campaign released an ad Thursday that seizes on the FBI’s new email review to frame his rival Hillary Clinton as unfit to serve as president.

“Decades of lies, cover-ups and scandal have finally caught up with Hillary Clinton,” a narrator says at the beginning of the 30-second television ad titled “Unfit.”

{mosads}”Hillary Clinton is under FBI investigation again after her emails were found on pervert Anthony Weiner’s laptop. Think about that. America’s most sensitive secrets, unlawfully sent, received and exposed by Hillary Clinton, her staff and Anthony Weiner,” the narrator continues.

“Hillary cannot lead a nation while crippled by a criminal investigation,” the narrator adds.

The ad will air in major markets across the country, according to the GOP presidential nominee’s campaign.

Trump has seized on FBI Director James Comey’s letter to lawmakers last week that investigators were reviewing new emails that he said could be “pertinent” to the investigation into the Democratic presidential nominee’s private email server she used while secretary of State.

The emails were discovered during a separate investigation into former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) for allegedly sending sexually explicit messages to a 15-year-old girl, according to reports.

Weiner is the estranged husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

Trump senior communications adviser Jason Miller said in a statement that Clinton has been “living in an alternate reality where her litany of email scandals and FBI investigations don’t disqualify her from running for President.”

Clinton’s campaign has lashed out at the FBI director over his brief letter to lawmakers, suggesting the move was politically motivated just days from an election.
