Poll: Clinton leading in five battleground states

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is leading Republican Donald Trump in five battleground states just days before Election Day, a new poll shows.

{mosads}Clinton has an edge in Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, according to a Public Policy Polling survey released Friday.

Clinton leads Trump by 2 points in North Carolina, 49 to 47 percent, in the closest of the races.

She also leads by 3 points in Nevada, 4 points in Pennsylvania, 5 points in New Hampshire and 7 points in Wisconsin.

Trump has a 9-point edge in Missouri, the poll found.

The poll also found a split in key Senate races, with Democrats ahead in four races and Republican incumbents leading in two.

Democrat Russ Feingold leads Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) by 5 points, the largest margin of the races. 

Democrat Maggie Hassan leads Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) by 3 points, and Democrat Katie McGinty leads Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) by 2 points, the poll found.

In Nevada, Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto leads Rep. Joe Heck (R) by 3 points in the race to replace retiring Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid.

The good news for Republicans came in Missouri and North Carolina. Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) leads Democrat Jason Kander by 2 points, and Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) leads Democrat Deborah Ross by 3 points.

The poll conducted surveys on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. It surveyed 1,083 likely Missouri voters with a margin of error 3 percentage points, 1,169 likely North Carolina voters with a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points, 781 likely New Hampshire voters with a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points, 688 likely Nevada voters with a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points, 1,050 Pennsylvania likely voters with a margin of error of 3.0 percentage points and 891 likely Wisconsin voters with a margin of error 3.3 percentage points.
