Poll: Clinton has 6-point lead in Wisconsin

Hillary Clinton has a 6-point lead over Donald Trump in Wisconsin, according to a new Loras College poll.

{mosads}Clinton (D) has the support of 44 percent of likely voters in the state and Trump (R) is backed by 38 percent.

Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has the support of 7 percent of likely voters, and Green Party nominee is backed by 2 percent.

Another 9 percent are undecided.

Clinton leads Trump among women in the state, 45 percent to 35 percent.

Trump has an advantage among independent voters, 36 percent to 31 percent.

More than 90 percent of Clinton supporters approve of President Obama’s job performance while just 6 percent disapprove. Only 7 percent of Trump supporters approve of the president’s job performance while 91 percent of Trump supporters disapprove.

In the Senate race, Democrat Russ Feingold has a 2-point lead over Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), 47 percent to 45 percent.

The poll was conducted from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1 among 500 likely voters. The margin of error is 4.4 percentage points.
