Trump accuses Obama of ‘screaming’ at pro-Trump protester
Donald Trump criticized President Obama for “screaming” at a pro-Trump protestor during a Friday rally, despite the fact the president tried tried to calm the crowd’s reaction and urged “respect” for the man.
{mosads}”Obama spoke in front of a much smaller crowd than this and there was a protester who likes us … he was talking to the protestor, really screaming at him,” Trump said during a Friday night rally in Hershey, Penn.
“If I spoke the way Obama spoke to that protester, they would say: ‘He became unhinged.'”
At the president’s North Carolina rally to support Hillary Clinton, an elderly man dressed in military garb and holding a Trump sign began to shout “Trump” when crowd started to boo and chant “Hillary” over him.
“Hey! Hey! Hey! Hold up … Everybody sit down and be quiet for a second!” Obama said as the crowd continued yelling.
“You’ve got an older gentleman who is supporting his candidate. He’s not doing nothing … First of all, we live in a country that respects free speech,” Obama said. “Second of all, it looks like maybe he might have served in our military, and we ought to respect that. Third of all, he was elderly, and we’ve got to respect our elders. And fourth of all, don’t boo, vote!”
Trump went on to blast Obama for campaigning for Clinton, chiding him as a “cheerleader” whom Americans don’t respect.
