Huma Abedin, the longtime aide to Hillary Clinton at the center of fresh scrutiny over emails linked to Clinton’s private server, stars in a new mini documentary from the Clinton campaign.
Abedin is shown at several major campaign junctures in the video released Saturday, titled “The Story of Us,” including when NBC declared Clinton the presumptive Democratic nominee in early June.
{mosads}”Hold on!” Abedin exclaims to other aides aboard the campaign plane with Clinton as the video cuts to footage of the network making the call before the aides erupt into cheers.
The aide also appears in the video accompanying Clinton as the candidate took the stage during the Democratic National Committee in July to accept her party’s nomination.
Abedin’s presence in the video comes one week after FBI Director James Comey announced the review of new emails he said appeared “pertinent” to the investigation into Clinton’s private server.
Abedin has kept a low profile since the FBI made its announcement regarding the emails. She
hosted a Democratic fundraiser in Washington, D.C., on Thursday and
told reporters who spotted her in public that she felt “sad.”
The newly discovered emails were reportedly found during a separate investigation into former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.), Abedin’s estranged husband who is being investigated in a teenage sexting case.
Clinton’s campaign documentary released Saturday opens in April 2015, when Clinton first announced her White House bid. It details her campaign’s road through the Democratic primary against Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), convention and through to the election.
The video also shows first lady Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic convention, where she said her now-famous line “when they go low, we go high,” in reference to Republicans.
A clip of Khizr Khan, the father of U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan who spoke at the convention, is also featured. Khan challenged Donald Trump to read the Constitution during his speech in Philadelphia.
The video also shows clips of Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, as it details the general election battle over the last few months.
Clinton’s “delete your account” tweet from June, in response to Trump tweeting about President Obama’s endorsement of Clinton, is also featured in the documentary.
