Trump and Clinton running neck-and-neck in Ohio and Florida

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are running neck-and-neck in the battleground states of Ohio and Florida, according to polling released Sunday morning.

{mosads}Trump, the Republican nominee, is up by 1 point in Ohio in the CBS News Battleground Tracker poll, 46 to 45 percent.

The race is even in Florida, meanwhile, at 45 percent apiece. 

In Florida, Trump has increased his support among Republicans slightly to 86 percent. Clinton has the support of 91 percent of Democrats.

More than 50 percent of Florida voters describe Clinton has “part of what’s wrong with politics today.” Only 36 percent of Florida voters describe Trump in the same way and 43 percent of voters see him as separate from politics today.

The Democratic nominee leads among Florida voters who report voting early and the GOP nominee has an advantage among those planning to vote on Election Day.

In Ohio, Trump leads among independent voters.

The poll of 2,377 registered voters in Ohio and Florida was conducted from Nov. 2 to 4. The margin of error for Florida is 3.6 percent and for Ohio is 4.1 percent.

With just days before the election, the polls have shown races tightening in several battleground states.

According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls in Florida, Clinton has a narrow 1.2-point lead. In Ohio, Trump is up just slightly more than 1 point.
