Pence: ‘Republicans are coming home’

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) on Sunday said he thinks Republicans are rallying behind GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign in the final days of the election campaign.

{mosads}”Republicans are coming together. … Republicans are coming home and recognizing that we need to elect Donald Trump as the next president, reelect a strong Republican majority,” Pence, the GOP vice presidential nominee, said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“And Republicans are coming home — with independents and Democrats at their side to make sure that [Democratic nominee] Hillary Clinton is never elected president of the United States.”

Pence said the momentum in the last few days of the campaign is “palpable out there.”

The GOP vice presidential nominee in recent days has been calling for Republicans to support Trump’s campaign.

He said Sunday the American people understand the election is a choice between change and the status quo, adding that the Trump campaign is on the offensive.

The polls have been tightening in recent days both nationally and in battleground states.

Pence on Sunday remained confident about the Republican nominee’s chances of being elected to the White House, with the election just days away.
