Obama mocks Trump for report aides blocked him from Twitter

President Obama on Sunday mocked Donald Trump, after reports surfaced that the Republican nominee’s campaign has revoked his access to his Twitter account.

{mosads}”Apparently his campaign has taken away his Twitter,” Obama said during a Florida rally for Hillary Clinton, to laughs.

“In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his self control, they said: ‘We’re just going to take away your Twitter.’ Now, if somebody cant handle a Twitter account, they can’t handle the nuclear code,” Obama continued.

“If somebody starts tweeting at three in the morning because SNL made fun of you, then you can’t handle the nuclear codes.”

The New York Times on Sunday reported that Trump no longer has control of what goes out on his Twitter account. Instead, aides are drafting and sending messages without his help.

Trump throughout his campaign has often spurred backlash after posting controversial tweets. He has targeted both political and personal rivals on the platform.

Over the past few days, Trump’s Twitter account has shown a more restrained approach.

During the rally in the battleground state on Sunday, at which Stevie Wonder performed, Obama called the Republican nominee “uniquely unqualified” and “temperamentally unfit” to serve in the White House.

He slammed the Republican nominee for his treatment of women and criticized people who have attempted to justify Trump’s comments by saying when he gets into office, it will be different.

“I’ve been in this office now almost eight years and here’s what I can tell you,” Obama said.

“Who you are, what you are, does not change when you take office. It just magnifies who you are. It just shines a spotlight on who are you.”
