Donald Trump on Sunday blasted Jay Z and Beyonce for using “filthy language” at a Hillary Clinton rally, framing the Democratic nominee as hypocritical for reprimanding him for his rhetoric.
{mosads}The music power-couple appeared at a Clinton rally in Cleveland on Friday, singing before the Democratic nominee took the stage.
Conservative media has been critical of the language they used during their performance.
“Jay Z and Beyonce use the most filthy language you’ve ever heard. They use words that nobody would use and she comes out, ‘Oh, thank you so much,’ hug and kiss,” he said Sunday during a rally in Minnesota.
“But to the public she says Donald Trump is lewd. Give me a break. The language I heard last night and that I saw was terrible. Honestly, terrible. And I like Jay Z, I like Beyonce.”
Trump went on to argue — although its unclear if there’s evidence to back him up — that “many of the audience left during the performance because it was disgusting, the words.”
The performers at the Clinton concert used profane language during their songs, including a slur describing black people and the f-word.
Clinton regularly criticizes Trump for his language on the trail, especially the disparaging words he’s used to describe women in the past.
Last month, a 2005 tape revealed Trump talking about touching women without consent, arguing that because he’s famous, he can “grab them by the pussy.”
