Nearly all new Clinton emails were duplicates: report

Nearly all of the newly discovered emails reviewed by the FBI in connection with the bureau’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private server were duplicates, NBC News reported Sunday.

{mosads}Most of the emails had already been seen by the team investigating Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of State, a senior law enforcement told the network.

The new email review also did not change the total number of classified documents that were discovered on the server.

Some of the emails reviewed had not been seen before, but those found were not related to government business, according to NBC.

FBI Director James Comey announced on Sunday the FBI has not changed its July conclusion regarding Clinton’s use of a private server.

His comments come just two days before the election.

“Since my letter, the FBI investigative team has been working around the clock to process and review a large volume of emails from a device obtained in connection with an unrelated criminal investigation,” Comey wrote in a letter.

“Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton.”

In July, Comey announced the FBI would not recommend criminal charges against Clinton.

Last month, Comey sent a letter to lawmakers telling them the FBI would be reviewing newly discovered emails “pertinent” to its investigation into Clinton’s private server.

The emails were reportedly found during a separate FBI investigation into former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.). Weiner is the estranged husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

After the initial letter was released, Democrats urged the FBI to release more details about the investigation as Republicans seized on the issue.
