In dueling op-eds published Sunday by USA Today, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump made their closing arguments to American voters.
{mosads}Trump argues that Clinton “has been the subject of an FBI criminal investigation into many crimes against this nation” and is unfit to serve.
“Were she ever to be elected, it would trigger an unprecedented constitutional crisis — Hillary is likely to be under investigation for a long time, grinding our government to a halt.”
Trump’s comments regarding the FBI investigation of Clinton came hours after the FBI announced it had not reached a new conclusion in the investigation of her use of a private email server while secretary of State.
Trump used the USA Today piece to direct readers to his “Contract with the American Voter, a 100-day action plan to clean up corruption and bring change to Washington.”
He pledged to create jobs, cut taxes, eliminate “job-killing” regulations and repel and replace Obamacare.
Laying out her case, Clinton detailed “four priorities for my first 100 days” in office, promising to invest in job creation, work on comprehensive immigration reform, introduce a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United and work on criminal justice reform.
