Clinton has 6-point lead in Virginia, poll finds
Hillary Clinton has a 6-point lead over Donald Trump in Virginia, according to the latest tracking survey by the Wason Center at Christopher Newport University.
{mosads}Clinton is favored by 48 percent of likely voters, while Trump is backed by 42 percent.
Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has the support of 3 percent of likely voters and Green Party nominee Jill Stein is backed by less than 1 percent.
Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, has the support of 92 percent of Democrats, and Trump, the GOP nominee, is backed by 82 percent of Republicans.
Clinton leads Trump among women, 53 percent to 37 percent, and among millennials, 56 percent to 33 percent. Trump leads among men, 47 percent to 42 percent.
Clinton holds a slight lead among white college-educated voters, 47 percent to 42 percent.
Trump has a significant advantage among noncollege-educated voters, 66 percent to 28 percent.
The survey was conducted from Nov. 1 to 6 among 1,193 likely Virginia voters. The margin of error is 3.6 percentage points.
According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls in Virginia, Clinton has a 5-point lead over her Republican rival, 47.3 percent to 42.3 percent.
