Trump knocks Clinton, Obama ahead of joint campaign appearance

Donald Trump on Monday needled Hillary Clinton for relying on President Obama on the campaign trail ahead of their joint appearance on the eve of the presidential election.

{mosads}At a rally in the battleground state of North Carolina, the GOP presidential nominee argued that Clinton, the Democratic nominee, can’t get big crowds without bringing star power to her campaign events and also knocked her for having Jay Z and Beyoncé perform at a recent rally.

Trump specifically took aim at Obama for using Air Force One to trek out to campaign with Clinton and mocked him for being environmentally conscious.

“So Obama is taking Air Force One, which costs a fortune,” Trump said in Raleigh. “He’s very much into the environment and he’ll take an old engine [Boeing] 747 very much in ozone layer.”

“And yet he’ll fly that 747 to campaign all over the place for Crooked Hillary,” he continued. “She’s not getting any crowds.”

Clinton is holding a Monday night rally in Philadelphia with a blockbuster lineup. Along with Obama, the former secretary of State will be joined by her husband, former President Bill Clinton, daughter Chelsea Clinton, and first lady Michelle Obama. There will also be a performance with music powerhouses Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen.

Trump has been making a number of campaign appearances in North Carolina in the final stretch of the race. The real estate mogul holds a narrow edge in the Tar Heel State, leading Clinton by an average of nearly 1.5 points in the polls.
