Daughter-in-law: ‘Melania and I both voted for Donald Trump’

Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law says both she and the billionaire’s wife voted for him on Election Day.

“I think we can all feel safe in saying that Melania and I both voted for Donald Trump for the presidency of the United States,” Lara Trump told CNN’s Erin Burnett Tuesday.

{mosads}Video emerged earlier Tuesday of Donald Trump glancing pointedly at his wife’s ballot as they each voted in New York City.

Eric Trump, the Republican presidential nominee’s son, was similarly captured eyeing Lara Trump’s vote.

“I haven’t seen either of those,” she said upon being shown photographs of the moments. “That’s the first time I’ve seen that; it’s very funny actually.

“It shows you the similarities that I guess Eric and his dad share. I didn’t even know my husband was checking [my ballot] out.”

Lara Trump added recent polls are underestimating her father-in-law’s support among female voters.

“I know there’s been a narrative from the beginning trying to paint my father-in-law in a certain light,” she said. “The way that the media was portraying him was not the Donald Trump that I knew.

“I think that the polls might be a little off. I do think we’re going to see a big turnout with women for Donald Trump at the end of tonight.”

Social media users quickly mocked photos of Donald and Eric Trump eyeing their respective wives’ ballots Tuesday.

Donald and Melania Trump voted at around 10:30 a.m. in Midtown.
