Nigel Farage, the former head of the United Kingdom Independence Party and a leading advocate for the country’s exit from the European Union, congratulated Donald Trump early Wednesday for winning the U.S. presidential race.
“I hand over the mantle to @RealDonaldTrump!” Farage tweeted. “Many congratulations. You have fought a brave campaign.”

“They go around calling me Mr. Brexit, and I said there’s only one really,” Trump says in the video.
Farage told ITV’s “The Agenda” that he could envision himself working on behalf of Trump in the European Union.
“If he did offer me a job I would quite like to be his ambassador to the European Union. I think I would do that job very well,” Farage said, according to the Daily Mail.
