A top executive at the Trump Organization says President-elect Donald Trump is no longer worried about his businesses.
“He’s not interested in the company anymore,” executive vice president Michael Cohen said on CNN’s “New Day” Thursday.
{mosads}“He’s interested in fixing America. He wants to make America great again. He wants to put Americans back to work. He wants to fix the economy. He wants to create jobs. And he wants to ensure national security for everyone.”
Trump is content leaving his business empire in the hands of his children, Cohen said.
“He’s very comfortable with them at the helm and the people that will surround them,” he said of Donald Trump’s sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., and the billionaire’s daughter, Ivanka Trump.
“The children — Don, Ivanka, Eric — they’re really intelligent, they’re really qualified,” Cohen added. “There’s a large executive team that’s there, that’s been with Mr. Trump decades. That’s why he didn’t run in 2012. They were younger by four years and they didn’t have, I guess, the experience [and] maturity that he felt he wanted to leave a $10 billion company to.”
