Sanders: I’ll be Trump’s ‘worst nightmare’ if he goes after minorities
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Thursday vowed not to let President-elect Donald Trump get away with going after minority groups.
“If Donald Trump takes people’s anger and turns it against Muslims, Hispanics, African Americans and women, we will be his worst nightmare,” the Vermont senator tweeted.

{mosads}Sanders on Wednesday released a statement signaling a willingness to work with Trump on certain policies.
“To the degree that Mr. Trump is serious about pursuing policies that improve the lives of working families in this country, I and other progressives are prepared to work with him,” the Vermont senator said in a statement released Wednesday.
“To the degree that he pursues racist, sexist, xenophobic and anti-environment policies, we will vigorously oppose him.”
After battling Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary, Sanders endorsed Clinton and campaigned for her and against Trump in battleground states.
Throughout the presidential race, the Vermont senator made the case for why voters should support Clinton and cast Trump as unqualified for the White House.
